Let’s Make a Change or Two or Three….

After getting back from an amazing marketing conference put on by some of our great friends at Content Marketing World in Cleveland Ohio we were revived with a new sense of energy. Jeff and I had a long chat about what to do next with our marketing schemes and how we can bring this energy back to our clients but for me mostly how to pour this energy and excitement into our kids. Our homeschooling venture officially started on Monday the 9th of September for this school year. I say official because the week before Content Marketing World we hit our math work with full force in order to catch up from last year. We all decided it would be best to start the year fresh in all subjects so we wouldn’t have the gloom of being behind hanging over us all year.
Addison is 5′ 1 Brandon is 5′ 5
When Monday morning came not one of us wanted to hit the books. Being the adult I knew I had to step up and be an example. Not sure I was the best example but we got in and got it all done. The first day was full of learning what the year will look like and what our new curriculum has to offer. This year the kids are looking forward to more science experiments and learning about dinosaurs. One thing they dread most is tests. As Brandon is in the 8th grade and Addison is in 6th its time to start giving firm grades and keeping records so that at the end of each quarter they know exactly how they are doing and were they might need improvement. It will also give a fun element to our parent-teacher conferences!
Starting the school year is pretty big for change number one but what about change number two? Change number two for me is HUGE and I mean HUGE. After many years of talking, dreaming and more talking, this year for my birthday Jeff is giving me a new kitchen. Our current kitchen is great but with a few adjustments, I will be able to do so much more. So with my sidekick’s help, we removed all the items from one set of cabinets and then removed the upper cabinet! In the next several post I will be giving updates and photos so that you can be on this journey with me.

Change number three is a big one for the kids but in the end, helps me as well. They received new mattresses this morning. Not just any mattress but Purple! Purple is a newer mattress company that has changed Jeff and I’s sleeping for the “oh my word it so much better.” Yeah I know that isn’t proper english but the comfort level this bed provides is like no other. Currently, Jeff and I have the split king with adjusting base in our master bedroom as well as the queen with adjusting base in our RV. We really couldn’t live without it so we have to have it everywhere. Now back to why the kids need such an amazing bed. Knowing that Jeff and I get such great sleep we thought why shouldn’t the kids. If the kids get great sleep, in turn, we all will have a better day.

Yay for the new kitchen!!!!!! That is a WAY better birthfay gift than a universal remote. ???
Excited to follow along on your journeys. Miss you all!
Hey girl, thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog. You know I’m no the best at spelling or grammar, so this way out of my comfort zone. Hopefully, with some practice I will get better! Universal Remote is an amazing memory!!! We miss you too <3
