Taking Tests isn’t for Everyone

Taking tests is a learned skill. It’s a skill that takes time to master. First, you have to be able to read and understand the question. What is the question really asking? Second, if it is a multiple-choice or true/false you have to know what the answers are saying. This isn’t easy for everyone and for the teacher it can be very difficult to watch the student struggle.
This is how my day went.
Kids studied for Science Exam.
Kids struggled through the first attempt.
Mom helped them understand the question.
Kids struggled through finding the correct answers.
Mom helped them find keywords.
Kids learned slowly how to look for the answers.
Mom weighted as patiently as possible, writing, looked over order for YoungLiving, sent emails to Girl Scouts.
Mom answered all the questions.
Kids finished and felt accomplished.
Mom tried not to crush their dreams when they got their scores.
In the end, they took their time and they did great.

On a brighter note, Jeff and I bought our plane tickets for Poland via Amsterdam! We will fly out on December 31st and won’t be back until February 22nd. We are so excited to see our friends AJ and Bart in their beautiful city of Amsterdam. We plan to travel by car through Germany, we want to see all we can see on our way to Warsaw, Poland. When in Warsaw we can not wait to see our girls and so many others. We want to know where they are from, how life is for them, and see how they live day today. So much to learn!
